ClickHouse is a fast, scalable analytics database used to power data‑driven applications. We’re seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join the Data Ingestion group (ClickPipes) on a remote basis in the United States.

About the Role

As a Senior Backend Engineer for Data Ingestion (ClickPipes), you will design, build, and maintain robust data ingestion pipelines that feed ClickPipes. You will work with distributed systems, ensure high throughput and low latency, and collaborate with data engineering and platform teams.

What You'll Do

• Design and implement scalable data ingestion pipelines for ClickPipes
• Build reliable backend services with strong observability and test coverage
• Optimize data ingestion performance and reliability at scale
• Collaborate with data engineering, product, and platform teams
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in code reviews

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of backend software engineering experience
• Strong experience with distributed systems and data pipelines
• Proficiency in at least one high‑performance language such as Go, C++, or Rust
• Experience with ETL, streaming, and data processing
• Familiarity with cloud environments and CI/CD practices

Location

Remote in the United States. You can work from anywhere within the US.
