Claim Specialist III

📋 Description

• Investigates, evaluates, negotiates and resolves workers' comp claims within authority.
• Trains less experienced Claim Department staff.
• Communicates with insureds, injured workers, agents to determine coverage and liability.
• Delivers timely indemnity and medical benefits.
• Develops litigation plans with defense counsel and tracks expenses.
• Visits insureds and employees to support claims handling.

🎯 Requirements

• Three years of workers’ compensation lost time claim handling experience.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Word, Excel and Image Right computer skills preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Strong attention to detail and verbal/written communication.
• Adaptable, self-directed; able to manage multiple priorities and work with teams.
