About the role

As a Media Relations Associate, you will contribute to the execution of strategic media outreach efforts for PR Newswire under Cision. This role requires strong writing, proactive media pitching, and close collaboration with global and regional teams to secure media coverage that supports business objectives.

Responsibilities

Assist in developing and executing media relations campaigns for PR Newswire in India and related markets.
Draft press releases, media pitches, briefing documents, and other PR materials.
Pitch stories to journalists and media outlets; maintain media contact lists.
Monitor press coverage and compile weekly/monthly reports.
Support coordination with regional and global PR teams; help manage inquiries and follow-ups.
Coordinate events and press briefings as needed.
Track metrics and provide feedback to improve coverage quality and reach.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, marketing, journalism, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in media relations/PR.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to write clear, concise materials.
Strong media research, pitching, and relationship-building abilities.
Experience with media monitoring tools and basic analytics.
Ability to work in a hybrid environment; strong organizational and time-management skills.
