About this Role

Reporting directly to Global Controller, the Financial Reporting Manager will lead global accounting operations across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring alignment with internal policies and external statutory requirements. This role involves close collaboration with local consultants and accountants to drive timely financial adjustments and compliance reporting. The Financial Reporting Manager will oversee the integrity of financial data flow, support month-end close processes, and ensure adherence to both global and local accounting standards. Additionally, the role will champion process improvements, training initiatives, and cross-functional support to elevate financial reporting quality and operational efficiency

What you will be doing:

  • Financial Operations & Reporting Excellence

    • Lead and supervise the finance team across multiple regions, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and timely month-end close.

    • Oversee the preparation of accurate financial and management reports in compliance with group accounting policies, statutory regulations, and tax requirements.

  • Audit & Compliance Leadership

    • Manage statutory audits and regulatory reviews, acting as the key liaison with external auditors and internal stakeholders.

    • Collaborate with tax agents, legal counsel, and internal tax teams to ensure full compliance with local and international audit, tax, and statutory obligations.

  • Strategic Business Partnering

    • Serve as a trusted advisor to business leads and department heads by providing financial insights, scenario analysis, and recommendations to support decision-making.

  • Transformation & Process Optimization

    • Drive finance-related digitalization initiatives and system transformation projects, focusing on automation, scalability, and operational efficiency.

    • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance reporting accuracy, reduce manual effort, and strengthen internal controls.

  • Team Development & Leadership

    • Coach and mentor team members to build technical and strategic capabilities aligned with evolving business needs.

    • Plan and allocate work effectively, ensuring alignment with broader team goals and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous learning.

  • Special Projects & Cross-Functional Collaboration

    • Lead or contribute to cross-functional initiatives, including system upgrades, policy rollouts, and finance integration projects.

    • Support other ad hoc assignments as required by leadership or business priorities.

About You

  • Qualifications

    • Bachelors degree in the relevant field.

    • Masters degree or CA Qualification is an add on.

  • Experience

    • Minimum 4 years of experience in accounting or financial environment, global exposure to multiple countries in the Asia Pacific, the UK or the US.

    • Proven track record with hands-on experience in month-end close, bank reconciliations, general ledger oversight, and statutory compliance administration across multiple countries.

    • Advanced Excel knowledge is required.

  • Skills

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

    • Ability to convey complex financial concepts clearly across diverse audiences.

    • Data-driven person - must be detail-oriented with an eye for mistakes.

  • Qualities

    • Agile, proactive and solutions-oriented with a strong sense of ownership

    • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

  • Good to have

    • Prior audit experience in management accounting or an audit firm is an advantage, ideally from the Big 10 firms.
