About the team and roleThe Financial Planning & Strategy (FP&S) team provides financial insight and partners with other leaders across our organization to achieve our long-term goals.  We seek to intentionally deploy our resources, optimize our business performance, and drive the highest-impact outcomes.

We are looking for a Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Strategy, Sales & Pipeline, to be the strategic finance leader for our Sales business.  We focus on strategic and financial planning, delivering actionable insights into Sales performance, and optimizing resource allocation to accelerate growth.  This person will play a pivotal role in how we scale our Enterprise and Mid-Market sales businesses.  You’ll work closely with Sales Leadership, RevOps, and Product.  This role is highly visible, including regular meetings and updates with our executive team.

What you’ll do

• Business Partnership: Serve as the lead strategic finance partner to our VP of Sales and their leads.
• Strategy: Proactively create, drive, and partner on strategic initiatives that drive step-function growth of our business.
• Strategic Planning: Drive a considerable portion of our long-range and annual planning processes.  Primary focus areas include driving the quota-setting process, AE capacity, and tops-down pipeline targets.  Build the strategic plan that positions us to accomplish our goals.
• Performance Management: Own recurring reporting and forecasting that provide a fundamental understanding of our Sales & Pipeline drivers and actionable insight into opportunities to improve business performance. Share your data-driven POV on business performance on a weekly basis with Leadership.
• Measurement: Define and evolve KPIs that best measure our business performance.  Collaborate with our Data Analytics team to build predictive and automated analytics.
• Investment Decisions: Develop investment frameworks and drive decisions to determine how we scale our Sales business.  Define how we measure ROI and sales productivity.
• Team Management: You will have the support of 1 dotted-line Sr. Analyst.

What you bring

• 8+ years of progressive experience, including 4+ years covering sales and pipeline.  Foundational experience in investment banking, private equity, or management consulting preferred.  Experience with consumption-based business models.
• Demonstrated success driving sales strategy, planning, and performance management.
• Expert-level modeling ability, translating complex business drivers into clear frameworks.
• Strong executive presence with proven ability to provide clarity and partner with stakeholders at all levels.
• Experiences with Salesforce, BI tool (ie. Looker), and SQL.
• Experience in identifying business insights through analysis.
• Have a hustler mindset.  You take a proactive approach to identifying opportunities and problems to tackle.
• Thrive in an environment where you will be asked to own an ambiguous project that you have not done before.

At Checkr, we believe a hybrid work environment strengthens collaboration, drives innovation, and encourages connection. Our hub locations are Denver, CO, San Francisco, CA, and Santiago, Chile. Individuals are expected to work from the office 2 to 3 days a week. Starting January 2026, hub-based employees will be expected to work from the office 3 days per week. We use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop ranges for our roles and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range. The base salary range for this role is $192,000.00 - $226,000.00 in San Francisco, CA.
