Overview
The Lead Customer Solutions Engineer at Checkr will join the Mortgage team to design, implement, and lead technical solutions that connect Checkr’s background check platform with mortgage workflows. You will own complex customer engagements, drive API integrations, and ensure successful deployments for mortgage lenders and related financial services customers.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical pre-sales and post-sales engagements with mortgage customers, ensuring successful adoption of Checkr’s platform.
- Architect and implement API integrations between Checkr and lender systems, HR platforms, and decision engines.
- Deliver compelling product demos, technical architecture sessions, and proof-of-concept implementations.
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering to translate customer requirements into scalable solutions and product enhancements.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, best practices, and enablement materials for customers and internal teams.
- Mentor and coach junior Solutions Engineers on mortgage use cases and integration approaches.
Qualifications
- 5+ years in customer-facing technical roles (Solutions Engineer, Systems Engineer, or similar) within fintech, mortgage, or HR tech.
- Strong experience with RESTful APIs, data formats (JSON/XML), OAuth, and security best practices.
- Proven track record of delivering SaaS integrations and enablement to complex business users.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel as needed to support customers and hybrid team engagements.
