Role Overview
We are actively seeking an experienced Engagement Manager to join Chartis in the Private Equity Advisory Practice. You will be responsible for the day-to-day execution of client projects, developing individual team members, expanding our capabilities, and leading firm initiatives. Chartis’ PE Advisory Practice works with healthcare institutional investors and their portfolio companies to help them uncover and realize unique value across the full lifecycle of their investments. Our offerings in this space encompass transaction diligence, platform integration and optimization services, and growth and exit strategy development.
Responsibilities
Serve as the day-to-day project lead overseeing delivery and execution of client engagements aimed at supporting private equity funds and their portfolio companies
Work with clients and Partners to set project objectives, develop analytical frameworks, manage team responsibilities, and maintain project timeline
Develop, prepare, and deliver client recommendations for presentation to clients
Support the development of project proposals and assist in the review of ongoing client deliverables
Support business development and thought leadership activities.
Coach, mentor, evaluate, and improve the performance of junior team members.
Assist in the ongoing development of methodologies and toolkits.
Qualifications and Desired Skills
7+ years of experience with a strategy consulting, strategic planning/corporate strategy group, or private equity/venture capital firm required.
Bachelor’s Degree in healthcare or a related field required; Master’s Degree preferred
Intellectual horsepower that drives distinctive consultation to clients and enduring contributions to the firm.
Motivated and driven by mission; genuinely seeks to materially impact healthcare for the better.
Operates with a collaborative mindset; carries him/herself with humility and strives to support the performance of others.
Strong track record of “making it happen” with clients, a demonstrated tenacity to partner with clients through challenges, and a reputation for delivering high caliber work.
A true “builder” mentality; is both comfortable and energized by hands-on doing.
Desire to drive innovation within the healthcare industry, coupled with the creativity and capability to advance the practice’s thinking
Flexibility to travel as required, remote work is allowed
Salary range: $180-000 - $230,000, plus may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. The salary range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications, practice area, and other business and organizational needs. In addition, Chartis offers several benefits including medical, dental, vision, HSA, FSA, disability insurance, life insurance, 401(k) match, paid time off, wellness stipend, and additional voluntary benefits.
