We are actively seeking an Associate Partner to join HealthScape as we grow our Technology & Innovation offerings. Associate Partners are integral members of our firm’s leadership team, contributing to firm building efforts while managing 1-2 consulting engagements at a time. Engagements typically span 3-6 months in duration and are supported by teams of ~2-4 Consultants and driven by an Engagement Manager.
Lead the problem-solving process and day-to-day management of engagement teams, including overseeing teams’ analysis and deliverables, often in the context of larger, more complex engagements.
Apply industry and technology thought leadership to client engagements, generating actionable strategic insights that drive meaningful improvement for the firm’s clients, developing new frameworks and approaches with broad potential impact
Build and maintain client relationships drawing upon healthcare knowledge and insights to address issues within and beyond the scope of specific consulting engagements
Create sophisticated, compelling communications that motivate clients to action
Act as a coach and mentor to junior staff, rapidly developing their skills and knowledge through an apprenticeship-based development model
Help build the firm’s portfolio of business through support of client proposals, participation in industry events, and other marketing activities
Contribute to firm initiatives focused on talent (e.g., recruiting, training), knowledge (e.g., IP development, white papers) and other core areas
Draw upon healthcare knowledge, trends, and experiences to highlight relevant implications for clients, especially around strategies to improve the quality of care delivered to members, while managing both clinical and administrative costs in an effective way
Further develop frameworks and approaches to build strategic roadmaps, establish business cases, mobilize programs, and produce turnkey deliverables
Facilitate work group discussions with client executive and stakeholders
Proactively work to create an energizing team environment
Contribute to knowledge sharing and team development
At least 8 years working with healthcare payers on strategic and/or operational initiatives, including 4+ years managing others
At least 8+ years of technology experience in the majority of the following areas: IT organization, IT processes, applications (packaged, custom-developed and off-the-shelf), infrastructure, cloud technology, data infrastructure, and artificial intelligence; with a keen understanding of how technology enables business strategy
At least 3 years of experience leading Payer Technology Transformation engagements, synthesizing data, identifying risks and value-creation opportunities, and developing perspectives and implications as part of an overall concrete assessment of the subject company, and leading subsequent implementation or integration
Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills
Superior communicator able to convey insights in a way that motivates clients to action
Strong people leader, adept at managing team’s work while developing colleagues’ capabilities
Advanced degree preferred (e.g., MsCS, MsIS, etc.)
Advanced skills in MS Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
Strong entrepreneurial drive
Passion for materially improving the delivery and administration of healthcare in the world
Flexibility to travel as required
Living location is flexible, but being based in one of our core locations of Washington D.C., Chicago, Boston, or New York is encouraged
Salary range: $175,000 - $230,000 plus may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. The salary range for this role considers the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including, but not limited to, skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications, practice area, and other business and organizational needs. In addition, Chartis offers several benefits, including medical, dental, vision, HSA, FSA, disability insurance, life insurance, 401(k) match, paid time off, wellness stipend, and additional voluntary benefits.
