THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE

You’ll be a force multiplier for charles — keeping our team productive, secure, and connected. You’ll deliver fast, friendly IT support, collaborate with engineering and security to strengthen our infrastructure, and turn issues into documented, scalable solutions that improve the everyday tech experience across the company.

THIS IS WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Provide hands-on IT support for our team — remotely and on-site — for hardware, software, accounts, and the digital workplace, with a focus on Apple & Lenovo devices (macOS, Windows).
  • Handle full employee IT onboarding and offboarding: assigning and setting up hardware, creating and managing user accounts, granting permissions, and retiring or wiping devices as needed.
  • Manage and maintain our office network, Wi-Fi, and connected devices (meeting room systems, printers, peripherals), ensuring a stable and secure setup.
  • Maintain accurate device and asset inventory, supporting procurement, stock tracking, and vendor coordination together with our Operations team.
  • Manage access to SaaS tools and internal platforms (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Slack, Notion, Okta, etc.), ensuring correct permissions and secure configurations.
  • Collaborate closely with IT Engineering and IT Security on infrastructure and compliance topics, including MDM (via JAMF) and other internal automation or monitoring tools.
  • Support the implementation of IT security measures — managing updates, enforcing 2FA, encryption, and patching — ensuring compliance with GDPR and company policies.
  • Document solutions and best practices in our ticketing system (Jira) and Confluence, helping create a self-service knowledge base that minimizes recurring issues.
  • Actively contribute ideas to improve IT processes, user satisfaction, and the overall reliability of our workplace technology.

YOU'LL FIT GREAT WITH THESE SKILLS AND VALUES

  • Enrolled at a German University working toward your Bachelor/Master, preferably in IT-related studies (Computer Science, Business Information Systems) or Management fields.
  • Previous experience in IT user support, system administration, or similar roles is a plus.
  • Solid knowledge of macOS and Windows systems, and comfort with common office tools (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace).
  • Familiarity with IT and networking fundamentals (Wi-Fi configuration, device connectivity, VPNs, authentication systems).
  • Experience with tools such as JAMF, Okta, or Google Admin Console is a plus.
  • Strong initiative, communication skills, and customer orientation — you love helping people solve problems.
  • Organized, thorough, and structured working style with the ability to stay calm under pressure.
  • Fluent in English (German is a plus).
