Charge Entry Specialist

📋 Description

• Review EMR Maud reports and patient documentation to identify billable services.
• Enter charges into AdvancedMD (AMD) accurately, complying with payer requirements.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to resolve charge discrepancies.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and Equip’s data privacy policies.
• Audit and review charges for approval, correcting billing errors and edits.
• Monitor for missing charges and ensure timely filing with payers.

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of healthcare billing or charge entry experience.
• Medical terminology knowledge; Behavioral Health or Eating Disorder exp preferred.
• Foundational understanding of insurance claim processing and CPT coding.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
• Proficient in Google Workspace (Gmail, Sheets, Docs, Drive, Calendar).
