You will report to the Head of Communications, Germany and serve as a key member of our Marketing & Communications team. In this role, you will develop high-performing social channels, create engaging content, and act as a guardian of the Change.org brand in Germany.
Exceptional creativity and flawless copywriting and editing skills in German are essential for this role.
A strong network and deep understanding of Germany’s political and media landscape — particularly conservative audiences — is also required.

Key Outcomes
Build Change.org’s social channels into a central hub for citizen engagement, modern democracy, and collective action - with smart AI-processes and AI-based content creation
Create and maintain active Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and X channels with a clear, consistent tone of voice and strong viral potential.
Manage and support a network of content creators.
Produce high-performing video and static content about the Change.org brand and petitions, sourcing material from petition starters, UGC, and online trends.
Develop and maintain partnerships with media outlets, influencers, and collaborators across the political spectrum.
Monitor issues, news stories, and trends to identify the right moments to elevate campaigns — using these opportunities to drive brand awareness and petition success.
Design and run social growth experiments.
Core Competencies
Proven ability to create engaging, timely social content, with a strong understanding of the German social impact ecosystem and key conservative audiences.
Strong brand stewardship and the ability to uphold and evolve brand identity.
Legit AI content creation skills and a love for metrics and analytics
Ability to deliver high-quality content on brief while bringing original creative thinking.
Experience contributing to social media strategy, with sound knowledge of best practices.
Commitment to working across differences — supporting all policy-compliant campaigns, including those you may personally disagree with, in line with Change.org’s values as an open and pluralistic platform.
Deep understanding of Germany’s political, news, and social media landscape, especially topics and trends relating to social justice, economic, political, and environmental issues.
Experience in managing social ads / paid content / online marketing
Requirements
Full fluency in German (C2 level or equivalent).
Minimum 5 years’ experience in social strategy, content creation, and community management — ideally within a politically conservative organization or media outlet.
