Overview
Cerebral is seeking a Direct Care Physician on a 1099 contract basis to provide remote telemedicine clinical services to patients in the United States, with licensing considerations for Tennessee. This remote role enables you to deliver direct patient care from anywhere in the United States while maintaining compliance with medical standards and state regulations.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct clinical care to patients via telemedicine, including assessments and management plans.
- Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans in collaboration with Cerebral's care team.
- Document all visits and clinical decisions in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Prescribe medications within the scope of licensure and regulatory guidelines; order tests as appropriate.
- Coordinate care with other clinicians and support teams to ensure high-quality outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with telemedicine regulations, HIPAA, and professional standards.
- Maintain availability for remote consultations as agreed in contract terms.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) with an active Tennessee medical license or eligibility to obtain licensure in Tennessee.
- Board-certified or board-eligible in a relevant primary care or medical specialty; telemedicine experience preferred.
- Strong communication, clinical decision-making, and documentation skills.
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and remote care platforms.
- Independent contractor status (1099) and ability to work remotely with minimal supervision.
