SAP Master Data Governance Architect

cBEYONData is seeking a Lead Master Data Governance (MDG) Architect to join our team in support of a multi-year SAP S/4 HANA modernization effort for a Federal customer. The focus across the broader program includes master data transformation, leveraging subject matter experts to transform data requirements, support and enforce master data standards and master data governance processes while creating, enriching, and changing master data.  If you are interested in joining a high performing team with advancement opportunities, then look no further!

The Lead MDG Architect will support the Data Management Workstream Lead in data governance activities coordinating across the functional teams and with PMO/System Integrator.

The ideal candidate will have SAP MDG technical expertise with strong leadership skills and a proven ability to align data governance processes to business strategy and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the MDG workstream from requirements gathering to technical deployment of S/4HANA and SAP MDG.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for master data governance related decisions.
• Collaborate with business process owners, IT teams, and external partners to design governance workflows, approval processes, and data quality rules.
• Align S/4HANA and SAP MDG master data design decisions to business requirements and industry best practices.
• Align SAP MDG configuration with S/4HANA migration and integration strategies.
• Oversee the development and maintenance of the SAP MDG data model, change request processes, and data validation rules for master data domains (e.g., Material, Vendor, Customer, Finance).
• Provide leadership and set the direction for the master data governance team.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize master data quality, standardization, and compliance.

Required Qualifications

• Security Clearance: Active DoD Secret security clearance required
• Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field
• Skills:
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working with diverse teams and influencing senior management
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment
• SAP Master Data experience
• Experience supporting large-scale government ERP implementations (SAP, Oracle, and/or PeopleSoft or similar integrated technology solutions)
• Experience supporting DoD clients (Army preferred)
• Must have SAP MDG solution knowledge/experience (e.g. SAP MDG functionality, configuration, and customization).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience facilitating collaboration with cross-functional teams
• Experience working remotely within a large project
• Familiarity with Agile principles and/or development projects
• Experience with federal financials and logistics data sets
• Supporting fielding operations for DoD clients
• SAP implementation experience preferred, ECC & SAP S/4HANA
• Experience with DoD data knowledge, Army data knowledge preferred
