Cat Daddy is seeking a skilled UI Technical Artist to bridge design and engineering across our game projects. In this role you will implement and optimize UI using the game engine, build tools and pipelines for artists and designers, and ensure high visual quality and performance of user interfaces across platforms.

Overview

As a UI Technical Artist, you will work with designers, artists, and engineers to create scalable UI solutions, optimize rendering performance, and maintain quality across platforms.

Responsibilities

• Implement and optimize UI systems in Unity or Unreal Engine.
• Create reusable UI components, shaders, and tooling to streamline artist workflows.
• Collaborate with designers to translate prototypes into production UI.
• Profile and optimize UI performance, memory usage, and load times.
• Maintain documentation and contribute to pipeline improvements.

Requirements

• Experience as a UI Artist or Technical Artist in game development or interactive media.
• Strong understanding of UI systems in Unity or Unreal Engine.
• Proficiency in C# or C++/Blueprints and shader languages (HLSL/GLSL).
• Experience with UI animation, tooling, and asset pipelines.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with design, art, and engineering teams.
