Cat Daddy is a game development studio based in Kirkland, Washington. We are looking for a Senior Gameplay Engineer to join our team to design and implement engaging gameplay features and systems.
Role Overview
As a Senior Gameplay Engineer, you will design and implement core gameplay features, collaborate with designers, artists, and other engineers, and optimize gameplay systems for performance and quality across platforms. You will contribute to code architecture, review peers, and mentor junior developers.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement core gameplay features and systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ship high-quality experiences.
- Optimize performance, memory usage, and stability.
- Mentor and review code for teammates.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional gameplay engineering or equivalent experience.
- Strong programming skills in C++ and a solid understanding of gameplay programming patterns.
- Experience with multi-platform game development and shipping titles.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
