Public Policy Analyst at Carta
Carta is seeking a Public Policy Analyst to join its Government Affairs team in Washington, DC. The role focuses on monitoring regulatory developments, conducting policy research, and supporting advocacy efforts related to Carta's products and services.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze federal and state policy developments affecting Carta and its customers.
- Conduct policy research, synthesize findings, and prepare briefs and memos for internal stakeholders.
- Draft policy positions, talking points, and compliance-related guidance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, legal, regulatory) to translate policy insights into actionable business strategies.
- Engage with policymakers, coalitions, and external partners as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in public policy, political science, law, economics, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in public policy, government affairs, or regulatory analysis (policy internships counted).
- Strong research, writing, and communication skills; ability to translate complex policy topics into clear briefs.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with financial services or technology policy is a plus.
