We are a growth-stage logistics and supply chain company operating at the intersection of technology, transportation, and operations. The business is scaling quickly and requires a CFO who is comfortable building while running. This is a senior leadership role based in our San Francisco headquarters, with a strong preference for Bay Area–based candidates.
The Role
- Serve as a core partner to the CEO and executive leadership team, helping drive strategy, execution, and accountability
- Operate as a hands-on, highly engaged CFO in a fast-moving, growth-oriented environment
- Own all aspects of finance, including FP&A, accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting as well as billing and collections
- Build and maintain financial models that support growth initiatives, pricing decisions, and capital allocation
- Ensure financial discipline while enabling speed and flexibility as the business scales
- Lead, develop, and hold accountable a high-performing finance organization through KPIs
- Set clear expectations, drive execution, and build the structure and controls needed for sustainable growth
- Partner closely with operations and commercial leadership to understand how the business truly runs
- Translate complex operational realities into clear, actionable financial insights
Who You Are
- A proven CFO or senior finance leader with experience in growth-stage companies
- Comfortable operating in environments that run more like a startup than a mature enterprise
- A true leader who drives accountability, owns outcomes, and actively pushes the business forward
- Hands-on, pragmatic, and decisive — comfortable making decisions with imperfect data
- Energized by building teams, systems, and scalable financial foundations
- An active business partner, not a passive advisor or scorekeeper
- Resilient, reliable, and steady under pressure
- Experience in logistics, supply chain, transportation, drayage, or adjacent operational businesses (strongly preferred but not required)
- Experience working closely with operations in complex, real-world environments
This Role Is Likely Not a Fit If You
- Have spent most of your career in large, highly structured enterprise environments
- Come exclusively from pure software companies without meaningful operational exposure
- Prefer advisory roles over direct ownership and accountability
Benefits
- 401(k) with company contribution
- Flexible Paid Time Off (PTO)
- Comprehensive Health, Medical, and Dental coverage
- Opportunities for professional development and career advancement
This is an opportunity to step into a CFO role where finance is central to how the company grows and succeeds. The right leader will play a critical role in shaping the company’s next phase and long-term trajectory.
