We are looking for an outcome-driven hands-on technical manager who can connect the business needs to the technical requirements, by partnering with the Product team to co-lead the product discovery and delivery efforts to drive and accelerate our marketplace flywheel. The Product & Engineering Organization at CareRev embraces a growth mindset, emphasizing product engineering excellence, adaptability and agility, a strong drive for the business, and a desire to collaborate with other technical teammates and cross-functional stakeholders. As a lead in the Product & Engineering Organization, you will develop and nurture these values and behaviors across a remote-first team.

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage, support, develop a mission-driven team of engineers to guide, set priorities, and vet out technical requirements for the product roadmap.

  • Actively engage and facilitate collaborative technical discussions with your direct team and your peer teams to guide technical issues and decisions to closure, fostering an action-oriented and outcome-driven culture.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to innovate and execute on iterative plans that continuously deliver customer value.
  • Apply your technical experience in developing high quality software to mentor and develop your team of engineers.
  • Apply your practical understanding of software development methodologies and processes to create and support a sustainable fast-paced environment that encourages learning and continuous improvement.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 4+ years of experience building, managing, and mentoring an engineering team in an early stage start-up.
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience as a software engineer, familiar with all phases of the software development lifecycle.
  • Experience building consumer-facing software in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and provide actionable goals for your team that relates to your function and the overall vision for the company.
  • Excellent people manager with a record of building, managing, and retaining talent.
  • Deep understanding and utilization of various engineering and project management tools and methodologies.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills and a strong ability to articulate complex ideas to both a technical and non-technical audience.
  • BS or MS in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $169,243.00 - $230,000.00. Equity, bonus or commission and benefits may also be provided as part of the total compensation package, depending on the position offered. If given an offer, the exact salary amount offered will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's skills, experience, education and other qualifications as well as the candidate's location of residence.
