Job Summary
Care.com is looking for a skilled Workday Financial Systems Architect to lead the design, implementation, and ongoing optimization of our Workday Financial Management environment. This remote-friendly role will partner with finance, IT, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions that drive accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and implement Workday Financial Management solutions that align with Care.com’s business goals
- Lead integration strategy and execution (e.g., Workday Studio, EIB, web services) to connect Workday with external systems
- Collaborate with Finance, IT, and business teams to define requirements, data models, and governance
- Oversee data migration, validation, security, and access control to ensure SOX/compliance readiness
- Own upgrade and release planning, testing, and performance optimization
- Manage stakeholders, provide technical leadership, and mentor junior engineers
- Evaluate new Workday capabilities and industry best practices to drive continuous improvement
Requirements
- Extensive experience as a Financial Systems Architect with Workday Financial Management
- Proficiency in Workday Integrations (Workday Studio, EIB, Web Services) and ERP integration patterns
- Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP) and financial data modeling
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills with ability to influence across non-technical and technical teams
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
- Ability to work in a remote-friendly environment and manage multiple priorities
