Care.com is seeking a Software Engineer II to join our engineering team in Salt Lake City. This hands-on role focuses on building scalable web applications using Java on the backend and React on the frontend. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver features, write clean and tested code, review peers, and optimize performance. Ideal candidates have strong experience with Java, modern frontend technologies (React), RESTful services, and databases. This is an on-site role with opportunities for growth and mentorship at Care.com.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain features in a full-stack web application.
- Collaborate with product, design, and QA to deliver high-quality software.
- Write clean, well-tested code; participate in code reviews.
- Optimize performance and contribute to API design and data models.
Qualifications
- Experience with Java and React in production web applications.
- Strong understanding of RESTful services and SQL databases.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
