- Ensure compliance with USCG, SOLAS, ISM/ISPS and laws
- Lead day-to-day vessel operations and guest welfare
- Direct safety drills and pollution prevention efforts
- Coordinate with Seattle/New York offices and reporting
- Perform bridge navigation watch and maintain logs as needed
🎯 Requirements
- Minimum 5 years experience as Captain or Chief Mate on passenger vessels
- Experience operating Southeast Alaska, Snake/Columbia Rivers, Gulf of California, or Panama Canal preferred
- Voyage planning and navigational calculations ability
- Familiarity with comms equipment: cell, satellite, email, SSB, VHF, SAT-C, GMDSS
- Strong crisis management and supervisory maritime experience
- Licenses: USCG Master 500 GRT Near Coastal and Master <3,000 GT STCW Endorsement
