The CASS Oversight Officer role

The CASS Oversight Officer plays a critical role in ensuring our firm's compliance with the FCA's Client Assets Sourcebook (CASS). This role requires a deep understanding of CASS regulations, a strong analytical mindset, and the ability to effectively oversee and assess the operational effectiveness of our CASS control framework.

Responsibilities

• To ensure the firm's CASS controls are operating effectively to mitigate risks associated with client assets (as delegated from the role-holder of the prescribed management responsibility for CASS, “PRz”).
• To identify and address any weaknesses or gaps in the CASS control framework.
• To promote a culture of compliance with CASS regulations throughout the organisation.
• To contribute to the firm's overall risk management strategy.

Requirements

• 5-10+ years of Operational or Second-Line CASS Exposure.
• Demonstrable experience in retail financial services.
• Hands-on, problem solving approach.
• Desirable: experience in fast growing fintech.
