Role
As the Business Development Manager - CFDs, you will drive Capital.com’s revenue growth by acquiring and nurturing high-value clients and strategic partners across priority markets. Operating at the intersection of sales, partnerships, and market intelligence, you will be a key catalyst in scaling our multi-asset trading ecosystem while safeguarding our obligations as a regulated, client-centric brokerage.
Responsibilities
- Lead Generation & Client Acquisition – Leverage your existing network and prospect pipeline to generate immediate revenue; follow up on inbound leads, clearly articulating Capital.com’s USPs to maximise conversion.
- Partnership & IB Network Development – Source, onboard, and nurture IBs, affiliates, and institutional partners; negotiate commercial terms and manage performance to revenue targets.
- Relationship & Account Management – Provide proactive, high‑touch relationship management across the full client lifecycle—on-boarding, retention, query resolution, and ongoing education—to maximise client satisfaction and trading activity.
- Referral, Networking & Event Engagement – Accelerate growth through client referrals, industry networking, hospitality, and targeted events; organise and attend webinars, seminars and conferences in partnership with Marketing.
- Regulatory & Compliance Alignment – Ensure all business development activities adhere to all regulatory requirements; maintain personal CPD to stay ahead of evolving guidelines.
- Brand Advocacy & Thought Leadership – Represent Capital.com at industry conferences, webinars, and client seminars; contribute insights to research, content, and product roadmap discussions.
Requirements
- Industry Experience & Network – 3+ years’ BDM / Sales experience in CFD/FX, or multi‑asset brokerage with an existing network of HNW / professional clients or partners.
- Sales & Negotiation Excellence – Proven ability to self‑generate leads, close high‑value deals and exceed revenue targets.
- Product & Technical Mastery – Deep understanding of derivatives trading, liquidity, and partner commission structures.
- Regulatory Acumen – Working knowledge of MiFID II, FCA COBS, DFSA, CySEC and other relevant frameworks governing inducements and client categorisation.
- Relationship Management – Demonstrated success sustaining long‑term client relationships, including out‑of‑hours hospitality and event hosting.
- Communication & Languages – Fluent English; Arabic highly desirable.
- Education & Certifications – Bachelor’s in Finance, Economics or related; CISI, CFA or equivalent qualification preferred.
