Overview

Canonical is seeking a Telco Cloud Engineer to join our team in a remote capacity serving the Americas region. This role focuses on architecting and delivering telco cloud solutions across private and public clouds, Kubernetes, storage, big data, and related cloud technologies—supporting NFV, containerisation, and 5G deployments.

Help telco customers architect and implement our solutions - private cloud, public cloud, kubernetes, storage, big data and cloud - as part of their NFV and containerisation, or 5G deployments.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement Canonical solutions for telco customers across private cloud, public cloud, Kubernetes, storage, and data infrastructure.
• Contribute to NFV and containerisation initiatives and support 5G deployments.
• Collaborate with Engineering and other teams in a remote, cross-region environment.

Required Qualifications / Skills

• Mid (Mid-Senior level) – as indicated by the LinkedIn posting level for this role.
• Experience with 5G, OpenRan, OpenStack, and Python.
• Strong problem solving, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kubernetes and cloud architectures (private/public cloud).
• Background in NFV, greenfield cloud projects, and large-scale distributed systems.
