Canonical is seeking a Software Support Engineer to solve real-world problems at scale with cloud expertise and contribute upstream solutions for all consumers of open source technologies. This mid-senior role sits within the Engineering/TechOps teams and supports our remote, worldwide workforce.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for Canonical's software products and services.
- Troubleshoot customer issues, reproduce defects, and coordinate with engineering to identify root causes.
- Collaborate with open source communities to contribute improvements upstream where applicable.
- Help customers deploy and operate Canonical software in cloud environments.
- Document issues andKnowledge for internal and external users.
Qualifications
- Experience in software support, DevOps, or software engineering, at a mid-senior level.
- Strong cloud expertise and familiarity with open source technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a distributed, remote team.
- Familiarity with Linux and container technologies is a plus.
