Canonical is seeking a Software Engineer to join the distributed team that develops and operates Ubuntu's IoT and Cloud App Stores and other large-scale web services. This is a remote, full-time role focusing on Python and Golang.
What you'll do
- Develop, maintain, and operate backend services for Ubuntu App Stores using Python and Go (Golang).
- Collaborate with distributed teams across Canonical to deliver reliable and scalable software.
- Improve performance, reliability, and user experience across the App Store ecosystem.
- Contribute to code quality, testing, and documentation.
What we need
- Experience programming in Python and Go (Golang).
- Strong knowledge of Linux/Ubuntu environments and cloud-based services.
- Experience building and operating scalable web services and APIs.
- Strong problem-solving skills and collaboration in distributed teams.
