Canonical is seeking a Senior Project Manager for Ubuntu Embedded Systems to lead a high-profile technical project management effort focused on the pre-loading of Ubuntu on Tier-1 OEM and ODM devices. This on-site, office-based role is based in Taipei, Taiwan.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end project management for embedded Ubuntu pre-loading on OEM/ODM devices
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including hardware partners, engineering, supply chain, and QA
- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, risk registers, and dependency tracking
- Manage budgets, scope, and change control; communicate status to stakeholders
- Ensure successful delivery of embedded Ubuntu solutions on schedule and within quality standards
About Canonical and Ubuntu Embedded Systems
Canonical is the maintainer of Ubuntu; this role focuses on embedded systems for Tier-1 OEMs and ODMs in the Ubuntu ecosystem.
Qualifications / Skills
- Experience in project management for embedded systems or similar domains
- Technical familiarity with Ubuntu and embedded Linux and hardware/software integration
- Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to collaborate with Tier-1 OEMs and ODMs
