Role overview

We are seeking a motivated Sales Development Representative to join our London-based Sales team. This entry-level role is ideal for someone who loves technology and wants to start a career in tech sales. You will help generate and qualify opportunities, conduct outbound outreach, respond to inbound inquiries, and schedule meetings for our Account Executives. You will receive hands-on training, mentorship, and exposure to Canonical's portfolio of open source solutions.

What you’ll do

  • Identify and qualify new sales opportunities through outbound prospecting and inbound inquiries
  • Schedule meetings and coordinate with Account Executives to move opportunities through the funnel
  • Maintain accurate data in our CRM, track metrics, and report on activity
  • Learn about Canonical products and the Open Source ecosystem to articulate value to potential customers
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Marketing and Customer Success

Who you are

  • Passionate about technology with strong communication and listening skills
  • A curious, proactive problem-solver with a "whatever it takes" attitude
  • Comfortable learning new tools and working in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous sales experience not required; this is an entry-level role with training
