Canonical is seeking a Linux Enablement - Software Engineering Manager to lead a team in Beijing to bring high-quality Ubuntu-certified devices directly to millions of users with our world-leading partners.

This full-time, on-site role sits within Canonical's Engineering organization and focuses on Linux enablement across Canonical's device ecosystem. You will mentor engineers, drive roadmaps, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure the delivery of enablement features that empower Canonical's partners and users.

Responsibilities

Lead and grow a software engineering team focused on Linux enablement for Canonical's device ecosystem.
Collaborate with Engineering and external partners to define roadmaps and deliver enablement features.
Mentor engineers, manage performance, and guide technical direction.
Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality, reliability, and timely delivery.

Requirements

Proven experience leading software engineering teams.
Strong knowledge of Linux and Ubuntu and experience enabling hardware devices.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills; ability to work with partners.
