Canonical is seeking an Information Systems - Open Source Technical Architect to design and lead the architecture for Canonical internal information systems, establishing reference architectures for world-class services on Ubuntu and open source products.

Role Summary

As an Open Source Technical Architect, you will define and drive the architecture of Canonical's internal information systems, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and aligned with Canonical's open source objectives.

Responsibilities

Design and lead the architecture for Canonical's internal information systems.
Collaborate with Engineering and TechOps to implement scalable, reliable, and secure architectures.
Define standards for data models, integration, and service interfaces across platforms.
Promote open source practices and contribute to the Ubuntu ecosystem.
Guide technical teams and communicate architectural decisions across the organization.

Requirements

Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise information systems architectures.
Strong background in open source software and Ubuntu ecosystem.
Proven technical leadership and ability to drive architecture decisions.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work effectively in a remote, cross-regional environment (EMEA).
