Overview

Responsibilities

• Assist in drafting and negotiating commercial agreements and licensing terms.
• Provide legal guidance on contract law, regulatory compliance, and risk assessment for global transactions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Legal and Operations to support business initiatives.
• Help ensure compliance with open-source licensing frameworks and Canonical policies.
• Maintain and organize contract records and support transactional workflows for distributed teams.

Requirements

• Entry-level/Junior legal professional (Graduate level) with a background in law.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to work effectively in a remote, distributed environment.
• Interest in commercial transactions, compliance, and open-source software.
• Willingness to work across multiple regions (Americas and EMEA).
• Bachelor's degree in Law or equivalent practical experience.
