Overview
Canonical is seeking a Global Head of GSI Alliances to own, drive and grow our global strategic alliance business, helping accelerate the move to Canonical Ubuntu. This role will define the alliance strategy, build and manage a global partner ecosystem, and collaborate with Sales, Product, and Marketing to drive revenue and adoption of Ubuntu.
Responsibilities
- Define and drive the global GSI alliances strategy.
- Identify, recruit, and enable strategic partners.
- Build and execute joint go-to-market plans with partners.
- Lead cross-functional teams across sales, marketing, engineering, and operations.
- Manage partner P&L, governance, and performance metrics.
- Represent Canonical in partner communities and events.
- Collaborate with regional teams across Americas and EMEA to scale programs.
- Report on pipeline, revenue, and partner performance.
Requirements
- 8+ years in strategic alliances, partner management, or channel sales; experience with GSIs preferred.
- Proven leadership and people-management skills.
- Strong business development, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
- Deep understanding of open-source ecosystems and Canonical Ubuntu is a plus.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills; capable of operating in a global, remote environment.
- Bachelor’s degree; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
