Engineering Manager for Canonical's Web engineering team. This role leads the development, delivery, and ongoing improvement of Canonical's web platforms, working closely with UX/UI designers and developers to build high-quality websites and apps.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of web engineers to deliver scalable websites and applications.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers and product teams to define architecture, roadmaps, and quality standards.
• Drive engineering excellence across code quality, performance, testing, CI/CD, and security.
• Partner with stakeholders across the EMEA region to align delivery with business priorities.
• Recruit, onboard, and develop engineering talent; manage performance and career growth.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading web engineering teams.
• Strong background in web technologies and scalable web platforms.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a distributed, remote-friendly environment.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams including product, design, and operations.
