Engineering Manager - Ubuntu Hardware Certification Quality and Test Engineering
Canonical is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the team responsible for Ubuntu PC certification quality and test engineering. This role will focus on building and executing test technology and strategy, and expanding test coverage for new and existing certified hardware.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor the team responsible for Ubuntu PC certification quality and test engineering.
- Define and evolve test strategy, framework, and tooling to ensure robust hardware certification processes.
- Deepen test coverage for new and existing certified hardware across platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware, software, and release engineering to drive quality.
- Drive process improvements and measure test effectiveness using relevant KPIs.
Qualifications
- Experience leading hardware test or QA teams, preferably in a Linux/Ubuntu environment.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven track record of building and executing test strategies for complex hardware/software integrations.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
