Canonical is seeking an Engineering Manager - Build and Release Infrastructure to lead a team of Python developers building the distributed systems underpinning Canonical's platform for open source collaboration and build infrastructure.
This full-time remote role is based in the Europe region.
Responsibilities
- Manage a team of Python developers building distributed systems underpinning Canonical's platform for open source collaboration and build infrastructure.
- Define and drive the technical strategy for build and release infrastructure.
- Ensure reliability, scalability, and security of release pipelines.
- Collaborate with Engineering, DevOps, Product, and other cross-functional teams.
- Mentor and grow engineers on the team.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in people management and leading software engineering teams.
- Strong Python development background.
- Experience with distributed systems and release engineering.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
