About Canonical Cloud Support Engineer
Canonical is seeking a Cloud Support Engineer to support Canonical's customers on Ubuntu, OpenStack, Kubernetes, and the broad world of open source software. This is a remote role based in the Americas.
What you'll do
- Provide high-quality technical support to customers on Canonical's cloud platforms
- Triage and diagnose incidents, reproduce issues, and guide customers through remediation
- Collaborate with TechOps and engineering to resolve complex problems
- Document solutions and contribute to the knowledge base
- Assist customers with best practices and deployment guidance
- Participate in on-call rotations if applicable
What we're looking for
- Strong Linux systems administration experience, ideally with Ubuntu
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and OpenStack or similar cloud technologies
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer-facing skills
- Ability to work remotely from a North American location and coordinate across time zones
- Self-motivated, collaborative, and customer-focused
Nice-to-have
- Scripting with Python or Bash; automation experience
- Familiarity with cloud providers and virtualization technologies
