About Butternut Box

Butternut Box is a fast-growing pet nutrition company delivering fresh, portioned meals for dogs. We’re looking for an Accounts Assistant to join our finance team in London.

About the role

As an Accounts Assistant you will support the finance team with day-to-day accounting tasks and help ensure our financial records are accurate and up-to-date.

Responsibilities

  • Process supplier invoices and assist with accounts payable
  • Assist with accounts receivable and customer invoicing
  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve payment queries
  • Support month-end processes and general ledger maintenance
  • Maintain accurate filing and documentation

Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience with Excel; familiarity with Xero or similar accounting software is a plus
  • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
  • Early-career or junior level experience in accounting preferred
