We are seeking a Senior Developer Relations Engineer to join our team in the United States or Australia. This role focuses on building strong relationships with developers, creating technical content, and shaping the developer experience around Buildkite.

Role

As a Senior Developer Relations Engineer at Buildkite, you will act as a technical ambassador, collaborate closely with product and engineering teams, and help drive adoption of Buildkite across diverse developer communities.

Responsibilities

Engage with developer communities, customers, and partner ecosystems to gather feedback and advocate for the platform.
Create and publish high-quality technical content (blogs, tutorials, sample apps, guides).
Deliver talks, demos, and workshops at meetups, conferences, webinars, and other events.
Collaborate with Product and Engineering to influence roadmap based on field insights.
Assist customers in adopting Buildkite and improving their developer experience.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in developer relations, software engineering, or a related field.
Excellent written and verbal communication, with experience presenting to technical audiences.
Familiarity with CI/CD tooling, APIs, workflows, and cloud platforms.
Ability to translate complex technical concepts into practical guidance for developers.
