Build Reliability Engineer (Valves/Starship)

📋 Description

• Identify root causes and implement corrective actions to eliminate failure modes.
• Develop and enforce manufacturing, assembly, welding, NDE, cleanliness, and checkout processes.
• Identify reliability gaps in design/manufacturing and fix issues to maintain safe flight.
• Create quality plans for flight hardware, including key characteristics and first article inspection.
• Monitor production ramp-up using quality tools and analytics to track performance.
• Lead center-wide initiatives to improve build quality and enable data-driven decisions.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or physics.
• 1+ years in manufacturing, quality, or design engineering (internship qualifies).
• Experience with build, assembly, or integration of aerospace components (valves, avionics, fluid systems).
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
• Master’s degree in mechanical, aerospace, materials, or electrical engineering (preferred).
• Process controls in high-volume manufacturing, test, and quality environments; welding knowledge.
