Engineering Manager, Frontend Platform

Overview

Brex is hiring an Engineering Manager for the Frontend Platform to lead the team responsible for building scalable frontend infrastructure and reusable platform components across Brex products. You will mentor engineers, set frontend standards, and drive the technical strategy for the frontend platform. This role collaborates closely with product, design, and backend teams to deliver high-quality, performant web experiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of frontend engineers focused on the Brex frontend platform and design system.
• Define and maintain frontend architecture, tooling, and standards (React, TypeScript, performance, accessibility).
• Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to deliver cohesive features across products.
• Hire, coach, and evaluate engineers; manage performance and career development.
• Promote best practices in code quality, testing, and deployment automation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of frontend engineering experience; 2+ years in leadership/managerial roles.
• Strong expertise with React, TypeScript, JavaScript, and modern frontend tooling.
• Experience building or contributing to a design system or frontend platform.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
