Brave is a privacy‑focused technology company behind a web browser and platform designed to give people more control over their online experience. We are seeking a detail‑oriented General Ledger Accountant to join our Finance team in San Francisco, CA.

Role Overview

As a General Ledger Accountant, you will own and manage the general ledger close process, ensure accuracy and completeness of Brave’s financial records, and support internal and external reporting. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure GAAP compliance and timely financial close.

Responsibilities

Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts across Brave’s entities
Lead monthly close processes and prepare journal entries with detail and accuracy
Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and provide insightful variance analysis
Assist with financial reporting, audit readiness, and internal controls
Collaborate with FP&A, Tax, and other finance teams to support accurate reporting
Ensure adherence to GAAP and accurate revenue recognition and cost accounting

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
3+ years of general ledger accounting or related experience
Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP) and advanced Excel skills
Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills
