Brand Designer, Stripe Identity Art Director

📋 Description

Following our 2025 brand refresh, Stripe’s visual identity is evolving to meet our global ambitions. To maintain our high bar for craft while moving at the speed of our product suite, we are looking for an experienced designer to elevate the brand through breakout art direction. You will push the boundaries of our expression while ensuring beauty and scalability across marketing, product, and beyond.

This role is for a creative with an expansive point of view—someone who can help shape bold visual directions while building systems that endure. You’ll concept, design, and direct high-impact brand moments that extend our aesthetic vocabulary and work cross-functionally to shape work that is both thoughtful and ambitious.

• Push our creative voice with high visual excellence.
• Lead exploratory work that defines new visual territories.
• Design and execute high-fidelity work across surfaces, owning concepts to delivery.
• Collaborate across disciplines to envision an optimistic, progressive future for the brand.
• Translate abstract ideas into elegant, inspiring visual communication.
• Provide visual direction for illustration, photography, motion, and video.

Minimum requirements

• 6+ years of design and art direction experience.
• A track record of independently delivering work and influencing others.
• Experience collaborating with illustrators, photographers, motion designers, and 3D artists.
• Strong strategic acumen for pitching creative in a fast-paced, global environment.
• Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud.

• Genuine curiosity and ambition for design with meticulous craft.
• Experience using generative AI tools for rapid concepting and mood-boarding.
• Ability to communicate persuasively and humbly to stakeholders.
• Enjoy mentoring creatives to help them learn and grow, while learning from them.
• Balance aesthetic intuition with systems thinking.
