Box is seeking a Senior Revenue Technical Accountant to join our finance team in Japan. This full-time, on-site role focuses on revenue recognition under ASC 606, GAAP-compliant reporting, and collaboration with Sales, Legal, and Finance to ensure accurate and timely financial results.
Responsibilities
- Lead revenue recognition processes for complex contracts and ensure ASC 606 compliance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Legal, Product) to resolve revenue-related issues
- Maintain ASC 606 policies and assist with internal and external audits
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and improve revenue-related controls
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or equivalent preferred
- 5+ years of revenue accounting experience, preferably in a technology company
- Strong knowledge of ASC 606 and GAAP
- Experience with ERP systems and revenue recognition tooling
- Excellent communication and analytical skills
