What is Box?

Box is the market leader for Cloud Content Management. Our mission is to power how the world works together. Box is partnering with enterprise organizations to accelerate their digital transformation by creating a single platform for secure content management, collaboration, and workflow. We have an amazing opportunity to further establish ourselves as leaders in the space, and we need strong advocates to help us achieve that goal. By joining Box, you will have the unique opportunity to help capture a majority of this developing market and define what content management looks like for the digital enterprise. Today, Box powers 100,000+ businesses, including many top Fortune 500 companies, who trust our secure collaboration platform to manage the entire content lifecycle.

Our Warsaw office is an incredibly exciting addition to our EMEA expansion. We're already in the UK, France, and Germany, and the new Poland location is a global engineering and product development hub alongside our headquarters in Redwood City, California.

Why Box needs you:

Our Launchpad Engineering Team powers our core product experience pillars: design system, accessibility (a11y), internationalization (i18n), and in‑app guidance. This team drives a cohesive component library and tooling that accelerates product teams, improves UI consistency, and reduces maintenance costs across our frontend applications.

Who you are:

  • People-first engineering leader with 3+ years managing front-end or platform teams; 6–8+ years total software experience.
  • Strong technical judgment in modern UI engineering (React/TypeScript), design systems, accessibility standards (WCAG, ARIA), and i18n/l10n fundamentals.
  • Proven track record shipping and evolving shared platforms: component libraries, tokens, theming, build and release pipelines, and documentation sites.
  • Experienced in setting vision and roadmaps, translating partner needs into scalable platform capabilities, and measuring outcomes with clear KPIs.
  • Skilled coach for mixed-experience teams: you grow senior engineers through autonomy and scope while providing structure and mentorship for junior engineers.
  • Effective stakeholder manager who collaborates with Product Design, Localization, Feature teams and leadership.
  • Data-informed decision maker who balances velocity, quality, and reliability; comfortable with experimentation, phased rollouts, and deprecation.
  • Experience working with distributed teams across different time zones is advantageous.
  • Proficient in English.
  • Bonus: experience with design tokens, Storybook, accessibility auditing tools, feature flagging, experimentation platforms, content management for in‑app guides, and performance/observability tooling.

Box lives its values, with community and in-person collaboration being a core part of our culture. Boxers are expected to work from their assigned office a minimum of 3 days per week, with a focus on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Your Recruiter will share more about how we work and company culture during the hiring process.

Expectations:

  • Lead a team of experienced engineers in Poland.
  • Define the team's roadmap, execution plans, and take ownership of project delivery.
  • Develop team members through 1:1s, career planning, coaching discussions, and hiring.
  • Uphold values by building a collaborative, inclusive team focused on customer impact.
  • Cultivate a culture of excellence through emphasis on execution, quality, and scale.
  • Organize stand-ups, sprint planning, technical discussions, and manage sprint task statuses.
  • Collaborate with product teams to scope new features, provide project estimates, and inform quarterly commitments.
  • Work with cross-functional partners and stakeholders to ensure the team delivers significant business impact.
  • Represent Box internally and externally.
