Key Responsibilities

Architecture & Design (Hands-on)

Design and implementbackend services using Node.js (TypeScript preferred).

Architect and developRESTful APIs, GraphQL APIs, and event-driven systems.

Buildserverless and microservices-based architecturesusing AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, DynamoDB).

Evaluate technical trade-offs and createPoCs and reference implementations.

Ensure solutions aresecure, performant, and cost-efficient.

Cloud Ecosystem (AWS)

Hands-on development with AWS services:Lambda, ECS/EKS, DynamoDB, RDS, S3, CloudFront, SNS/SQS, Cognito, API Gateway.

ImplementInfrastructure as Code (IaC)using Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation.

Applymonitoring, logging, and alerting best practiceswith CloudWatch, Datadog, or equivalent.

Development & Delivery

Own theend-to-end backend deliveryfor complex modules.

Writehigh-quality, testable, and reusable codein Node.js.

Set up and maintainCI/CD pipelinesfor reliable deployment.

Driveautomated testing, performance benchmarking, and code reviews.

Collaboration & Leadership

Work closely withfrontend, mobile, DevOps, and data teamsto deliver integrated solutions.

Mentor and guide developers inbackend coding practices, architecture decisions, and troubleshooting.

Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.

Qualifications & Skills

Technical Must-Haves

Strong proficiency inNode.js & TypeScript.

Solid expertise in designingscalable APIs, microservices, and serverless systems.

Hands-on AWS experience (compute, storage, security, networking).

Deep knowledge ofdatabases: SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and NoSQL (DynamoDB, MongoDB).

Proficiency withcontainers & orchestration(Docker, Kubernetes, ECS/EKS).

Strong experience withCI/CD tools(GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline).

Good understanding ofAPI authentication & authorization(OAuth 2.0, JWT, Cognito).

Familiarity withevent streaming/message queues(Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS).

Preferred Skills

Experience buildingmulti-tenant SaaS platforms.

Exposure toreal-time data pipelines and WebSocket-based architectures.

Strong debugging, profiling, and performance optimization skills.

Soft Skills

Passion forhands-on codingwhile driving architectural excellence.

Strong communication skills to influence technical decisions across teams.

Ability tomentor, coach, and elevate engineering teams.

Nice to Have: Experience with serverless technologies and architectures, eCommerce experience
