Boulevard’s engineering teams have an exciting imperative to build world-class customer experiences that power the next generation of salons
and spas to enable everyone to look and
 feel their best.

As a Staff Engineer at Boulevard, you will be responsible for leading initiatives and architecture across your domain in partnership with Product and Design. The ideal candidate has a commitment to building great customer experiences. Working closely with the Product Manager, Designer, and Product Marketing Manager, you will play a crucial role in building exceptional products and achieving significant outcomes - such as reimagining our client experience offerings to enable world-class booking experiences that empower our customers to build a modern web commerce experience that enhances their brand, maximizes conversion, and leverages cutting-edge technology.

What you’ll do here:

• Help lead (and — if you’re up for it — manage) your domain, owning multiple initiatives from inception to completion.
• Collaborate on technical vision while promoting a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Champion the maintenance and continuous improvement of an observable, secure, and efficient codebase.
• Lead and mentor engineers in career development, encouraging skill enhancement and ownership opportunities.
• Partner with product, design, marketing, and executive stakeholders throughout the product delivery lifecycle in order to achieve outcomes that align with company objectives.
• Participate in an on-call rotation.

What you’ll need to thrive:

• 7+ years of fullstack experience building well-architected systems at scale.
• 2+ years of technical leadership experience leading and/or managing teams.
• A track record of building exceptional user experiences with an eye for design.
• Track record of leading and delivering complex projects by partnering with others to define and scope smaller deliverables that yield incremental value to the business and customers.
• Desire to work in a high-velocity environment, continuously learning, and mastering your craft.

How We’ll Take Care Of You:  

Your total budgeted cash compensation for this role is between $190,000 and $240,000 USD, depending on your current skills, experience, training, and overall market demands. This range is subject to change, and there is always room for growth and advancement.
