The Project Manager is responsible for coordinating all remote aspects of the construction project, including:
- Managing project schedules, timelines, and deliverables.
- Organizing and tracking permitting requirements, inspection schedules, and milestone completions.
- Coordinating with the onshore General Manager, Construction Manager, and subcontractors to ensure smooth workflow.
- Monitoring and updating project progress through JobTread or other approved tools.
- Ensuring all trades are aligned to prevent delays and downtime.
Communication
As the primary offshore point of contact, the Project Manager ensures clear and consistent communication among all stakeholders by:
- Providing timely updates to U.S. clients regarding project status, expectations, and next steps.
- Relaying information between the field teams, subcontractors, and internal leadership.
- Addressing issues promptly through proactive, solutions-focused communication.
- Maintaining organized communication logs and project notes.
Documentation
Maintaining accurate and complete project documentation is a core responsibility. This includes:
- Preparing, organizing, and submitting contracts, revisions, reports, and required documents.
- Managing progress photos, inspection updates, change orders, and milestone tracking.
- Ensuring all project records comply with U.S. standards (IBC, IRC, NEC, ADA) and local permitting requirements.
- Assisting in developing, updating, and refining internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Solid understanding of construction processes, methods, materials, and the ability to interpret plans and drawings.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in construction project management or coordination.
- Prior experience supporting U.S.-based construction or home improvement clients in an offshore capacity.
- Working knowledge of U.S. building codes and permitting processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interaction with clients and project teams.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to identify and address potential issues.
- Experience mentoring or guiding junior team members is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal English skills.
- Ability to work full-time aligned with U.S. time zones.
