Network Planner/Designer (100% Remote)

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Network Planner/Designer to lead inventory reconciliation, network design updates, and migration planning. The role requires hands-on experience with transport and IP equipment, circuit planning, and capacity management. The ideal candidate will possess strong design and analytical skills to ensure seamless network migrations and upgrades.

This is a fully remote position.

• Perform data cleansing of network element equipment (Transport & IP).
• Reconcile inventory records with equipment logical circuits.
• Remove stranded cross-connects and disconnect underutilized circuits.
• Collaborate with CenturyLink to complete capacity augmentation and ring configuration.
• Identify additional capacity needs and work with Mid-Range Planner (MRP) to resolve gaps in Turn Over Packages (TOPs).
• Develop Migration Circuit Plans for transport and IP circuits, including circuit paths, turn points, and new equipment paths.
• Prepare design updates and circuit groom cutsheets.
• Resolve JEOPS or other issues that arise during the planning process.

• Extensive knowledge of transport and IP network equipment across multiple layers.
• Proven experience in network design, planning, and migration execution.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional engineering and planning teams.
• Detail-oriented with strong documentation and organizational skills.
