Role Overview

As a Risk Officer at Blockchain.com, you will design, implement, and monitor the company\'s risk management and compliance program to protect customers and the business. You will collaborate with Legal, Security, Compliance, and Product teams to identify, assess, and mitigate risk across AML/KYC, regulatory compliance, governance, and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the risk management framework and policy suite.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Lead AML/KYC program, transaction monitoring, and suspicious activity reporting.
• Conduct risk assessments for new products, partnerships, and processes.
• Collaborate with Legal, Security, Finance, and Product teams to design and implement controls.
• Manage incident response, investigation, and remediation efforts.
• Prepare risk dashboards and report to senior leadership and the board as needed.
• Manage third-party risk and vendor due diligence.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in risk management or compliance in financial services or crypto.
• Strong knowledge of AML/KYC frameworks and regulatory requirements (Malta/EU context preferred).
• Professional certifications (e.g., CFE, CRC, CAMS) are a plus.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to translate risk into actionable business decisions.
• Experience with risk management tools and data analysis.
