Third-Party Integration Quality Lead

Overview

Block is seeking a Third-Party Integration Quality Lead to own the QA for external integrations across partner APIs and fintech services. This role is based in the Bay Area and is remote-friendly. You'll partner with Product, Platform/API teams, and partner teams to ensure reliable, secure, and scalable integration experiences.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute QA strategy for third-party integrations across products and platforms
• Write and maintain test plans, test cases, and automation for integrations
• Design, implement, and run API/end-to-end tests for partner integrations
• Collaborate with product managers, software engineers, security, and partner teams to gather requirements and acceptance criteria
• Build and mentor a high-performing QA team; lead release readiness and risk assessments
• Analyze quality metrics, define quality gates, and drive continuous improvement
• Review integration specifications, data mappings, and error handling
• Manage incident response for integration outages; coordinate with partners
• Ensure compliance with data privacy and security standards

Requirements

• 5+ years of QA/quality engineering leadership, preferably in integrations or API-first environments
• Experience with API testing (REST/SOAP), integration testing, and test automation frameworks
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and release processes
• Excellent collaboration, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
